Posted on 10 November 2010

Michigan Humane Society is seeking information in return for the reward of $1,000 from someone who can give information about the dog that was burnt during the Halloween weekend in Detroit.

Mark Ramos, Senior cruelty investigator for the Michigan Humane Society told The Oakland Press of Pontiac, “Someone poured gasoline on the dog and set it on fire.”

Ramos describes the case as “horrific.”

The pit bull mix named Lady was picked up by the Michigan Humane Society on Saturday, about a week after she was burned. Ramos says the dog’s owners initially thought the burns could be treated at home.
