A man has been arrested by the Kentucky State Police for shooting a neighborhood dog while children were nearby.

Troy Pollock – 23-year-old of Bedford shot the dog near the 5800 block of U.S. 42 West while the dog was in close proximity to children playing nearby.

It was reported that the dog ran from Pollock when he shooting. Police say Pollock chased it into a garage where numerous children were playing and continued shooting the animal until its death.

State Police arrested Pollack for cruelty to animals and wanton endangerment, 1st Degree.
