Dog rescued by fire fighters during fire incident

A dog hiding under a bed was rescued by the fire crew on Wednesday morning during a fire incident at a three-unit townhouse in west suburban Carol Stream.

The fire destroyed property estimated over $100,000 at least one of the adjoining townhomes in the 100-block of Goldenhill Street but no injuries were reported.

The Red Cross was helping residents who have been displaced.

Investigation has started in order to know the cause of the early fire incident.
